The ski season 2015-2016 finds Parnassos Ski Center quantitatively and qualitatively upgraded. The last two years in XKP has been made a huge investment totalling 30 million euros through ESPA program, on upgrading and replacing infrastructure and lifts. The new state of the art lifts (8 seater cabin and 6 seater chairs) Venus and Bacchus in Cellars and Hera / Hermes / Charioteer in Fterolaka change the image and the functionality of the ski field by offering new opportunities to each parameter of ski process.
Cloaked in silver fir-forests and thick vegetation, Parnassos is one of the most beautiful mountains in Greece, charming visitors throughout the year with its rare natural beauty.
Parnassos Ski Resort, located at an altitude of 1,600-2,250 meters, welcomes winter sports fans from December to early May at two locations, Kelaria and Fterolakka. The Resort, which is operated by the Public Properties Company, is known as the largest and best organized ski center in Greece.

The center has 19 ski runs, 7 ski routes, 10 trails and three mini-runs for beginners, totaling approximately 36 kilometers. The downhill runs range from 50 meters to 4 kilometers for beginners, intermediate and advanced skiers. For adventure lovers, there are 12 “black” country runs with really deep snow and lots of adrenaline flowing. The center is noted for high safety facilities and equipment, as well as its good operation.

The resort tops the list in skiers’ choice, as it is located very near Athens, Lamia and Patra, featuring suitable facilities to accommodate large numbers of visitors and skiers. It has two café-chalets, restaurant, ski and snowboard schools, ski equipment rental shops and childcare service with a playground for the Lilliputian visitors.
Moreover a ski and snowboard maintenance shop offers top-notch tuning and repair services at Kelaria 1750 location.
The Center is noted for high safety facilities and equipment, as well as its overall good operation. In recent years, out of 120 days it averaged only 2-3 days of closure, and no more than ten days of disrupted operations due to weather condition. Annual turnout reaches 140,000 arrivals, of whom 60% are skiers and 40% visitors.

In addition to skiing, the Parnassos Ski Center is also ideal for cycling, catering to those who wish to explore the mountain on a bike. Within the grounds of the ski center there are four cycling routes (one downhill, two free-rides and one cross-country), three of which can be also used by trekkers with sport and environmental interests. The E4 European long-distance path and the 22 national trail cross the wider area of Mount Parnassos.
The beauty of Mount Parnassos also attracts many hikers and trekkers, mountain sport aficionados and nature lovers.
