The municipality of Servia administratively belong to the Western Macedonia region. It lies between the Pieria mountain range and river Aliakmon, at a distance of 140 kilometers from the city of Thessaloniki and 100 kilometers from the city of Larissa. Servia is the commercial, administrative and social center of the region. Its history is lost in the mist of time. The town has been continuously inhabited since the prehistoric era, reaching a peak during the Byzantine period and today. The broader area of the Municipality of Servia includes 14 communities, beautiful, quaint settlements built around Lake Polyfytou.
Huge mountain masses and impressive gorges, monasteries and antiquities, Byzantine churches and castles, stone bridges, a beautiful lake and rivers drowned in vegetation, villages and enchanting locations, neoclassic mansions and contemporary buildings, all of them bearing witness to pure beauty!

The unique in Western Macedonia Castle of Servia (Byzantine Castle City of the 6th century) takes visitors along to a beautiful fairytale. The large Byzantine basilica church, the tens of Byzantine chapels, the cave-churches with the Byzantine wall paintings and the stone arched bridges in Servia and the other villages of the municipality are images not easily forgotten.
